MOHRE Announces 18 Interactive Phone Services for Businesses, Workers

March 14, 2025by Benoy P Jacob0

The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has launched 18 new interactive and informational phone services aimed at enhancing communication and support for both establishments and domestic workers in the UAE. This initiative aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to improve accessibility, streamline services, and provide efficient customer assistance in the labor sector.

Enhancing Communication and Efficiency

MOHRE’s latest service upgrade is designed to facilitate seamless interactions between employers, employees, and the ministry by offering quick access to information, updates, and guidance on labor-related matters. These phone-based services will cover a range of topics, including:

  • Work permits and visa procedures
  • Employment contracts and labor rights
  • Salary protection and dispute resolution
  • End-of-service benefits and gratuity calculations
  • Complaint filing mechanisms for workers and employers
  • Regulations for domestic workers and their sponsors

With this initiative, businesses, domestic workers, and employers can now access vital information effortlessly, reducing the need for in-person visits and ensuring faster response times for common inquiries.

Digital Transformation in UAE’s Labor Sector

MOHRE has been at the forefront of digital transformation in the UAE labor market, continuously introducing technological solutions to simplify labor law compliance and improve employer-employee relations. The introduction of interactive phone services is a step forward in making labor-related information more accessible and transparent.

This development is particularly beneficial for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and households employing domestic workers, ensuring they stay informed about their legal obligations and rights.

How to Access the New Services

The 18 new phone services can be accessed via MOHRE’s official customer service interactive voice response (IVR) system at 600590000. Employers, employees, and domestic workers can navigate through the automated system to get the information they need or connect with MOHRE representatives for further assistance.

A Step Towards a More Inclusive Labor System

By launching these interactive services, MOHRE reinforces its commitment to fostering a fair, well-regulated labor market. The initiative not only empowers workers with knowledge but also assists employers in ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws.
