A Power of Attorney (POA) is a legal document that authorizes one person (the agent) to act on behalf of another (the principal) in legal, financial, or business matters. In the UAE, POAs must be notarized by UAE courts or notary public offices to be legally valid. POAs can be general (granting broad authority) or specific (limited to particular actions, such as property transactions or corporate decisions). In business and legal affairs, POAs are commonly used for company formation, banking transactions, and real estate purchases, with strict revocation and expiration clauses to prevent misuse.
