Enforceability
Enforceability refers to the legal capacity of a contract, court order, or arbitration award to be upheld and executed under UAE law. Contracts in the UAE are generally enforceable if they meet key legal criteria, including clear terms, mutual consent, and compliance with public policy. In commercial disputes, enforcement of court judgments follows UAE civil procedures, while enforcement of arbitration awards is governed by Federal Arbitration Law (Law No. 6 of 2018) and the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Arbitral Awards. International judgments may require additional recognition through UAE courts or bilateral enforcement treaties.
