We act before the DIFC Employment Division the specialist DIFC forum that handles employment claims for those working within the DIFC and where matters escalate, before the DIFC Courts. Our toolkit includes: pre-claim conciliation, urgent interim relief (injunctions, freezing of payments), hearing strategy, witness preparation and enforcement of awards. We prepare skeleton arguments, bundle the evidence, and deal with interlocutory applications to preserve client positions.
Employees often rely on us to recognise and enforce end-of-service financial entitlements, including statutory gratuity, salary in lieu of notice, accrued leave, bonuses and other contractual benefits. We: review employment contracts and policies; calculate correct entitlements under UAE / DIFC employment principles; issue demand letters; negotiate settlements; and where necessary, litigate before the DIFC Employment Division to secure recognition and payment. Our experience includes successful claims where disputed payroll records or mischaracterised payments were challenged and corrected, leading to favourable awards for clients.
We advise on lawful termination and redundancy procedures, run risk assessments for wrongful or unfair dismissal claims, and defend employers in complex redundancy programmes. For employees, we pursue reinstatement where appropriate or damages for unlawful dismissal. For employers, we design compliant termination processes, produce settlement agreements and advise on mitigating exposure.
