The UAE cabinet approved the Strategy for Talent Attraction and Retention to strengthen the UAE’s position as the best destination for living, working, and investing. The strategy plans to place UAE among the three top countries in talent attraction and retention. UAE is aware of the talents that contributed to its growth and is ready to embrace more talents for its bright future.

The strategy is to portray UAE in such a way as to attract foreign investments and talents. A comprehensive framework is established to develop policies that attract talents from far and wide.

The UAE strategy constitutes of three main targets: 1) positioning UAE in the top countries in the index of global talent competitiveness; 2) Talent availability in all sectors, and 3) portraying UAE as an ideal living destination.

The cabinet also approved export development policy and opened international markets for supporting foreign trade and increasing non-oil sector participation. The policy enables the economy to benefit in the current and future stages. The policy adopts tools that include direct communication channels opening with government entities concerning trade and investment and encouraging the formation of joint committees.

The cabinet approved National Autism Policy to improve the life of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their caregivers. The cabinet also adopted a Handbook for federal buildings and roads that provide various methods of sustainability.  

On the legislative front, the cabinet amended the Federal Law on Tax Procedures. The cabinet approved the decision regarding Natural Person Insolvency Law. This law enhances the UAE’s competitiveness by enhancing business conditions and providing help to financially challenged individuals. The cabinet also agreed upon the exception decision of the Federal Law relating to Public Associations and Public Benefit Institutions.
