Arbitration
Arbitration is a legally binding dispute resolution process where parties submit their case to a neutral arbitrator or tribunal instead of litigating in court. The UAE is a major hub for arbitration in the Middle East, with specialized centers such as DIAC, ADGM Arbitration Centre, and DIFC-LCIA providing robust legal frameworks. The UAE’s Federal Arbitration Law (Law No. 6 of 2018) ensures that arbitration agreements are recognized and arbitration awards are enforceable within the country. Given the pro-business environment, many commercial contracts—especially in real estate, energy, and maritime sectors—prefer arbitration for its speed and confidentiality compared to traditional litigation.
